Around the turn of the last century The Mc Clement Buggy Whip Company of Austin Texas made the best Buggy Whips in the world. Queen Victoria owned a Mc Clement Buggy Whip. John Mc Clement Junior was eager for the company to branch into other forms of leather work. John Mc Clement Senior just wanted to make the best Buggy Whips in the world. John senior thought that cars were a flash in the pan and people would still use the Horse and Buggy. Naturally they would still be buying Mc Clement Buggy Whips.
Sadly in 1913 The Mc Clement Buggy Whip Company went out of business.
Refusing to acknowledge and adapt to new technology, is just like continuing to make Buggy Whips when the whole world is starting to drive cars.

Also this week...
We have a suspected case of D2P employee swine flu. This was the employee's own words, (whether they were joking or not needs to be revisited). This sparked a rather interesting investigation at D2P headquarters into the difference between human flu and the dreaded, media-hyped swine flu.
The result? Not much. In fact there are no differences, except the fact that Swine Flu is a new strand of Virus and hence medical experts could not adequately predict the outcome of the virus in infected people. This has since been remedied, and the public frenzy about an 'epidemic' has been put to rest. So, it is more than likely that our ill comrade has the good old garden variety of flu. Rather boring perhaps, but flu is flu, and flu means SICK! So get well soon!
